Window Shade

Hello,

I purchased a window shade a couple of months ago. I finally got the time to have it installed and took pictures for you. Now I didn't know how it would work since I had a sliding glass rear window, however I think it speaks for itself.

Thanks for providing quality products!

USMC Boat

Hi,

I love your site and thought I'd share some pictures of my latest project. Since I got out of the corps I picked up model boat racing as a hobby. Last fall I started building a wood hydroplane from a set of plans I purchased. When I got done I thought of the perfect paint scheme that my fellow Marines would love. It's made of 1/8th and 1/16th inch Birch plywood and it's 48 inches long. It has a fully modified 26cc Zenoah water cooled weed whacker engine, rated at about 6hp. It can run about 60+ mph in race trim. The finish is Fire Engine red stain with black and gold trim. Hope you guys like it.

Personalized Plates-USMC Motorhead

I gave this license plate to my hubby as a gift. He loves "Full Metal Jacket" so the plate was inspired by it. He always says the Cobra is "too big" for me to handle, and so the plate agrees. I tell him he has a fine speciman of a Ford Racing car, but it ain't too GD Beo Cu! :)

Technically, "to beo cu" is the saying in vietnamese used in the movie, but I wanted to keep people guessing when they read the plate. Only true hardcore fans of Full Metal Jacket get it. We've had several honks and thumbs up because of the USMC stickers and the plate. We've had people drive up next to us and tell us the plates are hilarious.

I just like that they fit my husband's ego....just kidding.

License Plates

Hey Sarge, great site you have here. I was noticing all the personalized license plate photos you have been sent so thought I would add in my two cents worth. After the reception we Viet Nam vets received when we came home, a lot of us hid out for a while! But that did not last long as I said to hell with them a bought a Florida license plate that said NAM USMC. I had it for years and recently retired and moved to Georgia. I was able to get the same plate in Georgia now, NAMUSMC! I proudly display it for everyone to see on my Dodge Ram as well as others on the front.

Memorial Bike

Our son Sgt. Jeremy Murray - USMC while on his third tour in Iraq, was killed by an IED that went off under his humvee. ( Megan) our daughter-in-law took us to the Harley dealer and bought us this 2006 classic . she said Jeremy told her to do something for us if anything ever should happen. We found a local artist , and he hand painted this memorial on the fairing we might have him do more paint work in the future, (not sure) We have joined Rolling Thunder, Akron Chapter 2 and took our bike to DC this last Memorial Day, we also have joined the Patriot Guard Riders, the group that attends any Service persons funeral in honor and respect for them and their families. We are very supportive of our military and have a great deal of respect for all they sacrifice , to protect our country.

USMC Harley and Vest

Hello, I served from 1974 to 1981, in both communication and reconnaissance. I can't believe how much I miss the Corps. I'm 50 you now. This Is my Harley, 1972 Shovelhead, 80"stroker, "throw together" 1958 swingarm frame, 1984 FXWG front-end, 72 motor with 82 inners. I have Marine emblem on rear fender, sticker on my oil tank stating "In memory of the brothers and sisters who didn't come home. VietNam 1957-1975" and front and back of my cut-off, I wore EVERY time I rode. And believe it or not, I was lit up by LAPD, And L.A. County Sheriff more than once, I managed a beer bar in the north end of San Fernando valley. Not once in the two years working there before moving, was I stopped, for any reason. Bike was a little loud, and sometimes I rode a little fast. They lit me up, then drove on, every once in awhile, I got a nod or a wave. I supported the Red & Black. I'm always wearing my "Sateen Blouse" or full Sateen uniform, including bloused boots.

God bless all Marines, past, present and future.

Marine Tribute Bike

Motorcycle Bio By Larry Tremblay Sr
I shall never forget that day in April of 2006 when two Marines came to my home to inform me of the death of my beloved son Joey in Iraq. During the two to three months that followed Joey's death an idea formed in my mind to build a tribute to Joey that would make him proud and that everyone who saw it would always remember Joey and all the other young men and woman who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country. It is in this vein that the Marine (Tribute-Memorial) Bike was started. The Marine Tribute Bike was built for one, dedicated to a few and in honor of all who have fallen defending our great nation. My son Joey and I used to spend time together watching Jessie James on the Discovery Channel and the Biker Build Offs. We both enjoyed and admired the skill and talent it took to build a motorcycle that I thought this would be a great monument to the son I so loved and missed.

There are many people and companies that have helped this idea come to life. This bike could not have been built without help, talent and support from the following: Powder Teck of New Windsor N Y, RPM Custom Choppers Newburgh N Y, Hannoush Jewelers Newburgh Mall Newburgh N Y,JB Garfix Newburgh N Y, Custom Machinery Newburgh N Y,Dryers Welding Service New Windsor N Y,Moto Insanity Marlboro N Y, Richards Military Exchange Port Jervis N Y, To all those listed above, and to all I may have left out by mistake, my heartfelt thanks. I could not have accomplished this tribute to my son and the many others without you. To my son Joey I know you are looking down from above and smiling. I hope you are proud of the bike,as we are so proud of you. I will hold you in my heart forever.

Until we meet again,
I love you,
Dad

Staff Sergeant Joseph P Goodrich 32 years old and Lance Corporal Ryan J Kovacicek were killed together by mortar attack. Ryan was 20 All were with 3/25 Marines in the 6 or 7 months that they were there they lost 48 boys, my heart goes out to all the family's of 3/25 God Be With All and to all the HEORS. This Tribute cant replace them but I will try to keep them in our memory's and who ever see this tribute.

Motivated Staff Sergeant

These are pictures my friend took at Rolling Thunder of a motivated Staff Sergeant of Marines. The Staff Sergeant stood out in the heat for hours while thousands of motorcycles drove by. The water was given to the Marine by a Park Police Sergeant, who has originally placed it in front of his feet. The only time the Staff Sergeant moved was to put the water behind him so nothing would be in between him and the fallen.

Pride On My Ride

Hello Sgt. Grit,

It's me again. I just would like to say thanks again for the wonderful online store selections. Attatched to this message are a few pics of my beloved Nissan that I'm turning into a semi racer style ride. The sticker in the middle, the lower right of the window and the licence plate frame are all from your webpage store. The stickers of Tanabe and Injen are the names of parts that are under the hood and the exhaust at the bottom of the car. The Japanese symbol above the Injen name stands for racing.

The rims are brand new by the way.

Thanks to the nice decorations from your page, the pride is on my ride and I love it! (It's also decorated for good luck for my Proud Marine). The last picture is of me and him.

~*Semper Fidelis*~

Update

Here are some new updated pictures of my ride. The front sticker is actually 2 stickers layered. I had the lettering made and it took me almost 2 hours to put on. I measured it and tried to keep the black background strip from wrinkling. I had to recut and reapply that 3 times before it looked good. Then I carefully put the lettering on top of it.

Please excuse the dent in the back there and the air bubbles on the 2 upper corner stickers (I took most of them out with a pin but some still remain). The two top ones are the USMC Bulldog sticker and the U.S. Marines - Everything Is Attitude sticker.

Again, thanks for the wonderful selection at your online store.

4" Decal D16m

I thought you might like to see what I did with your 4" Marine Corps emblem decal. My photography doesn't do it justice but the decal looks great on the air filter cover of my '03 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic. You may remember that a couple of years ago, I put your brass plated Marine Corps emblem on the back of the sissy bar.

Thanks for supplying all things Marine to all us old Jarheads.
