My first Marine Corps Tattoo
I finally got my first Tattoo after 30 yrs,,I retired from the Marine Corps in Sept of 1999,and in the same Month in the year 1979,I was a young PFC,in Jacksonville,N.C.and I was on Court St getting ready to get my first Marine Corps Tattoo, but I decided not to,because my arms were quite skinny back then,I was a skinny, boney 17 yr old kid from The Bronx,,Several of my buddies got their tattoos that night so I decided to wait,,Well the time finally came 30 yrs later, while I was on Vacation in San Jose,Costa Rica, where I also happened to have been a Marine Security Guard at the American Embassy,in the Early 80's,,I'm so glad I finally got it !!!I have attached a Picture.

New Tattoo
I recently reenlisted back into the Marine Corps! I wanted to get a moto tattoo that was different from others I have seen. So I found this design of the EGA & I loved it! I also decided to include hanging dogtags with my kids names & birthdays. This is to show my love for the Corps & to my kids!

More of Dynamite's TattoosThese great tattoos we given to me by Bluebird Tattoo in Portage, Indiana - an award winning shop. Their awards are mostly in original and large and unique tats. Since I design my own or copied them from book I had written in from my time in service, I had only a couple designed by my artist. These tats are there so I never forget how proud I am in being in the Corps, I spent so much time in combat areas and was never severely hurt and so I never forgot how futile war is because so many are killed and messed up for life mentally and physically and their family's are also changed forever and what have we ever gained from all the destruction but sleepless nights and horrible dreams plus I broke the 5th Commandment of God many times over and actually had a rush killing unsuspecting people as a sniper which I will have to pay for in the afterlife.
I only hope I live long enough to do enough good to be forgiven for following orders at time I thought were the killing of innocent people. The only Heroes were the ones who didn't come back because they gave their live for their country and their friends and would go directly to Heaven because of their heroism. I wish I was one of the Lucky Ones!

My Son's tat
My son wanted to be a Marine from the time he was 7 years old. He went to pool events at our local recruiter’s office for 4 years before he was old enough to join. We signed the paperwork for Delayed Entry the day he was eligible. He left for boot 3 weeks after HS graduation. He became a Marine on 9-7-07 (legally anyway—he was ALWAYS one at heart). His room has been decorated with US and Marine flags, Marine figures, USMC Wallpaper etc. as long as I can remember. He read the story of the battle of Thermopylae when he was quite young and was always inspired by Dionysius’ reply when Xerxes told the Spartans to lay down their weapons and surrender. “MOLON LABE” which means “Come and Take Them” . After boot and MCT, my soon-to-be Cpl had the words permanently inscribed on his arms. With Greek lettering. I have attached a picture.
