Finally Got His

Sep29_02 For my tat it's a plain Eagle, Globe and Anchor with our motto above it in block letters. Just got it about 6 months ago after more than 20 years out. Just had to make a mark!

Guardian Angel

Marine Corps Tattoo

Here is a pic of my favorite Marine Corps Tattoo. It is a one of a kind drawn by a buddy of mine from Tow Plt. 6th Marine Regiment back in 1996. It is my guardian angel watching over me and the Corps.

A Few Margaritas

Bulldog Tattoo Emblem Tattoo

Here's my pair of Corps tats The Bulldog is on my left Bicep and the Emblem is on my right forearm. The story behind the Bulldog is pretty funny (at least now). The last thing I remember about that Friday night was drinking alot of margueritas in Tijuana with a bunch of buddies and more than a few Mexican hookers. I woke up in San Diego at the Servicemans Y with a bandage on my arm and a tattoo parlor business card in my pocket. I was more than happy to see my Dog and flags once I got the courage to look under the bandage. I still wonder what I would have done had it been a list of hookers names! The Emblem was carefully planned on a future visit to SD

Corps Cook Tattoo

Corp Cook Tattoo

Here's a tattoo pic to add to you collection if you deem it suitable.

I enlisted in the Corps in 1964 at the age of 17. Becoming a cook was the farthest thing from my mind. However the Corps had a different idea. Although being in the Food Service MOS was not what I thought being a Marine was about, it was good duty and overall a great experience. Since I spent more time with a spatula and a chef's knife in my hands than with my M-14, I designed this tattoo using the Marine Rifle Expert badge and substituted the cooking utensils for the rifles. At the time, the cook's MOS number was 3371 and my nickname while on active duty was Lobby. It's a great souvenir of my past, as I've been a carpenter for the last 31 years. I look forward to receiving your newsletter. Thanks for your efforts.

No Regrets!

Devil Dog Tat Here's my addition for your tattoo page. I was brain washed in ITR when the Troop Handlers said it would be destruction of government property if you got a tattoo, so I didn't. So after many ears of wanting a tattoo, I finally got one in '95. I have it on my upper left bicep and haven't regretted it one bit.
