Getting Started
If you have Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express installed on your system you can use this to access your Sgt Grit email account. Have your username and password available.
Step One
Open Outlook or Outlook Express. The icon for the program can be located on the desktop, in the start menu under "start-> programs-> outlook express", or on the quick launch menu next to your start button.
Step Two
Once you have the program open click "Tools" located on the top menu bar. A box will open called "Internet Accounts". Click the "Mail" tab, click on Add, and select Mail.
Step Three
Enter your name as you wish it it appear in the From field of the outgoing message. Click Next when you are finished.
Step Four
Enter your complete Sgt Grit email address in the space provided. Click next to continue.
Step Five
You will then be prompted to enter the POP3 and SMTP mail servers. Enter them as shown below: My incoming mail server is a POP3 server. Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) Server: mail.sgtgrit.com Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: mail.sgtgrit.com
Step Six
Enter your Sgt Grit email login name and password. Click Next when you are finished. Click Finish to exit.
Congratulations! You have successfully setup Microsoft Outlook Express to send and receive email.
